So far I've beaten all bosses with no help (except for AI-companions) and I'm not that good to be honest. It isn't easy, but that first boss is one of the biggest obstacles for sure. I would say the game isn't that hard to be honest. I was planning on doing it myself, but I was too lazy, haha. If you can beat that boss, you can beat the game. Deflecting and attacking will fill the bar (part white and part red) when the white meets the red, that's when you can use that ability.Īgain though, I'm now near the end of the game and that first boss remains the toughest boss BY FAR. You should see a bar under his health bar. You may need to deflect more than one critical attack for this to appear, or, you may need to deflect a critical and get a sneaky hit in yourself, but that's the gist of how it works my man. Only a heavy attack will activate the animation that sees you taking a chunk of health away. When you see this, make sure you press "Y". This will stun him for a moment or two, and you should see a small red logo appear inside the lock-on circle. In regards to deflecting the boss' critical attacks. Your "main" level (the one you level up at flags) is important because those stats boost your HP, attack, defense etc. The higher your moral level, the more damage you dish out, and less damage you take. I think it only goes down a few levels before it caps. The more you get hit and die, the more it goes down.The more you kill enemies and deflect attacks, the more it goes up.This will reset every level, back to zero. The level that you're talking about is the moral level.
